This Super Trouper has been following her dreams of acting and playing dress up for nearly three decades—most recently as Rosie in Mamma Mia at Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre, in Carmel, IN. She’s also a full-time communications professional, a wife (she’s married to Michael Lasley, Civic’s Executive Artistic Director) and a parent to her beloved rescue dogs, Skye and Theo.
Kendra: Survivor of Sexual Abuse
This story moved me beyond words. I had originally reached out to Kendra as the force behind my recent Trailfest experience. Her dedication and commitment to the sport of running, coupled with a successful career and an amazing family, was something I wanted to write about.
7 women. 40 miles. 3 days.
Who in their right mind would run 40 miles along some of the most difficult trails over the course of 3 days—on purpose? And on top of that, travel with, stay with and do it with six strangers?
Welcome!
I’m constantly amazed and inspired by stories of bad ass women. Women who quit their corporate job to start a nonprofit, women who volunteer their way around the world, women who are social activists, moms, entrepreneurs, athletes, and mentors. There are some bad ass women doing bad ass things—and through this blog I hope to find them and write about them.
